In Nagano the earthquake was pretty big [4], but didn't do any damage. It was still freaky. I've never experienced an earthquake that big. The scariest part is watching TV after/during and seeing the tsunami warnings and then the videos of the damage.

I'll update again soon, but now I'm somewhat frazzled.

BRIDGET. I am so sorry to hear what happened. You are more than welcome to come visit me in Norway. There is a boy here from Japan, Rikuo, but we haven't heard anything about his family and I don't know where he's from. I am so sorry about EVERYTHING that has happened and also that you have to go home.
ReplyDeleteFrom what I've seen and heard, you have had an amazing seven months as an exchange student and that's more than most people have in their lifetime. You have learned and grown so much and I know this won't hold you back.
I love you and remember that you can always give me a shout out whenever you need. Skype, Facebok, phone, mail, whatever! Even hop on a plane here to Norway if you want, like I said.
Let me know your plans. Thinking of you!! xoxoxo
Bridget,
ReplyDeleteWe are all thinking of you and especially the people of Japan. Glad you are safe where you are. Read a story about you in the Ledger and it sounds like you are going to stick it out; be safe and wise. If you want to see the article, I posted it here: files.me.com/dancingbrook/ch2vyu
